Ingredients
3.0 cups Whole wheat flour
1.0 cup All-purpose flour
2.0 tsp Active dry yeast
1.0 tsp Salt
2.0 cups Warm water
2.0 tbsp Cornmeal
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.
- Divide dough into 8 pieces and shape into discs.
- Sprinkle baking sheets with cornmeal and place dough discs on them.
- Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a baking stone if available.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
